Rudy arrives before dawn with a note from LD about new hire onboarding. Ram discovers pre-made paperwork including Rudy's laminated badge and a hand-drawn freezer map marking "Phaser" and "Zone X." A mysterious visitor delivers official paperwork.

Chapter 3: Morning Snow and Hot Dogs

Ram steps through the freezer expecting the back wall but finds a snowy Montana parking lot instead. At this alternate Survival Stop, Clara and Linda treat interdimensional "phasing" as routine, offering hot dogs and explaining the "phase net" before sending him back to Texas with inventory.
